On Friday, 12 September, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., the City of Chemnitz invites you to the Long Night of Apprenticeships. This offers young people, parents and all interested parties the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about career prospects at the City of Chemnitz and is intended to show how varied and exciting training or studying at the City of Chemnitz can be.
Participation is free of charge. Prior registration via www.check-deine-zukunft.de is recommended to avoid waiting times. However, spontaneous visits are also possible.
The event is planned and organised by the trainees and students of the City of Chemnitz themselves - practical, personal and at eye level. Visitors not only receive information, but can also take part in hands-on activities, actively experience professions and exchange ideas with current trainees and trainers.
The following training and study opportunities will be presented, among others:
- Administrative assistant
- Bachelor of Laws
- Emergency paramedic
- Candidate fire officer
- Specialist for swimming pool operations
- Work in the municipal police service
- Surveying technician
- Gardener
A special highlight is the large presentation area in front of the town hall, where the fire brigade, the municipal public order service and the building yard present themselves with vehicles, equipment and activities. Here, visitors can experience at first hand how diverse the professions in the public sector are.
