Charity concert at the municipal music school
A benefit concert in aid of those affected by the recent floods in Saxony is being held on Wednesday, 10 July at 6 p.m. in the hall of the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. The event will be performed jointly by Fumiko Takano (piano) and Siegfried Arlt (recitation).
Both artists - Ms Fumiko Takano and Mr Siegfried Arlt - teach piano and elocution respectively at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School.
The programme will feature piano works by Robert Schumann (Arabeske op. 18 and Papillons op. 2) and Claude Debussy (Estampes - Pagodes, La Soirée dans Grenade, Jardins sous la pluie and L'Isle joyeuse), accompanied by recitations of texts by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Admission to the event is free - donations are requested.
