Changes to bus and rail services

Representatives of the media are invited to a joint press conference by Mayor Barbara Ludwig, Head of the Civil Engineering Department Bernd Gregorzyk and CVAG press spokesman Stefan Tschök next Tuesday, 6 February at 2 pm in Chemnitz City Hall, consultation room 118. They will provide information on planned adjustments to bus and rail services.
The period of just under two months following the introduction of the new route network was used intensively by both the City of Chemnitz and CVAG to record and evaluate a number of comments from citizens and, where possible and sensible, to look for solutions. The necessary timetable adjustments are to be implemented by after the winter holidays.
Since 10 December 2017, buses and trams in Chemnitz have been running on partially modified routes. The decision on the new route network was made by Chemnitz City Council at the beginning of 2016 and by the Central Saxony Transport Association (ZVMS) in mid-2016.
