eins energie in sachsen GmbH & Co KG (eins), the energy supplier for Chemnitz and the region with 1,400 employees in south-west Saxony, will see changes to its previous four shareholders from mid-April.
envia Mitteldeutsche Energie AG (enviaM), the regional energy supplier in eastern Germany, has decided to withdraw as one of the previous shareholders of eins. This decision is based on strategic considerations within the enviaM group of companies. enviaM held a 9.1 percent stake in eins, which it is now selling in order to optimise its portfolio. The shares previously held by enviaM will be taken over by a wholly-owned subsidiary of eins in agreement with the other shareholders.
The other shareholders of eins - Kommunale Versorgungs- und Energiedienstleistungsgesellschaft Südsachsen mbH, Kommunale Versorgungsdienstleistungsgesellschaft Chemnitz mbH and Thüga AG - will remain shareholders.
enviaM will also retain its company headquarters in Chemnitz.
