Chamber choir from Akron as guest
Anniversary concert "875 years of Chemnitz" on 19 May, 6 p.m.
he "University of Akron Chamber Singers" choir from Ohio, USA, will be giving a concert to mark the "875 Years of Chemnitz" anniversary in the Chemnitz Evening Music series next Saturday, 19 May at 6 p.m. in the Chemnitz Castle Church of the Evangelical Lutheran St. Peter's Castle Parish. Admission is free, donations are requested.
The choir from Chemnitz's twin city Akron will perform works by Johannes Brahms, Moses Hogan and Morten Lauridsen under the musical direction of Marie Bucoy-Calavan. At the organ: Siegfried Petri, church music director in the church district of Chemnitz and cantor at St. Petri-Schloß-Kirchgemeinde Chemnitz.
