Catch up on your flu jab
In view of the current flu epidemic, the public health department has announced that there is still sufficient tetravalent vaccine available to protect the population.
The current situation regarding upper respiratory tract infections means that it is still possible to catch up on outstanding vaccinations against influenza (flu jab) at your GP or at the public health department, provided that your family and work environment is still infection-free.
Vaccinations are possible until the end of February at the public health department, Am Rathaus 8, 09111 Chemnitz (vaccination centre, room 240).
Pre-registration is not required.
Opening hours:
Monday: 8.00 - 12.00 and 14.00 - 15.30
Tuesday: 8.00 a.m. - 12.00 p.m.
Thursday: 14.00 - 15.30
Since the beginning of the year, 105 cases of influenza have been reported by the public health department in Chemnitz. Compared to previous years, this means an earlier and more severe onset and thus also reflects the nationwide trend of increased activity of acute respiratory diseases, including influenza.
