"Carnival in the animal kingdom"
Public guided tour of Chemnitz Zoo on 20 February, 1 p.m.
Chemnitz Zoo invites interested parties to a special public guided tour on 20 February at 1 pm on the subject of "Carnival in the animal kingdom". The tour starts at the entrance area of the zoo and lasts approximately one hour. Participation is included in the admission price.
Due to the limited number of participants (max. 20 people), please register in advance by emailing tierpark@stadt-chemnitz.de.
20 February is Weiberfastnacht. The last days of the fifth season - as the carnival season is often jokingly referred to - are used to celebrate extensively once again. This primarily involves dressing up, but there is also a lot of singing.
Chemnitz Zoo would like to take these two aspects in particular as an opportunity to take a look at the animal kingdom: What does it look like there with costumes? And which animal has the most beautiful song? The various strategies for camouflaging oneself, warning or deceiving others will also be the subject of this public tour. And perhaps you will also find inspiration for future costumes.
