"Care is female - and fair?"
Invitation to the symposium of the state working group of municipal equal opportunities officers
Interested parties are cordially invited to attend on Thursday, 15 November. The event will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Municipal Festival Hall, Obermarkt 16 in 09599 Freiberg. According to Chemnitz Equal Opportunities Officer Bettina Bezold, renowned experts from across Germany have been invited to give presentations - here is an overview of the topics and speakers:
"Is old age feminine? - A look at gender-specific structures in old age" - the speaker is Claudia Pinl, author and publicist from Cologne;
"Who cares? Care work and its gender connotations" - Speaker is Dr Barbara Stiegler, qualified psychologist and educationalist from Bonn;
"Reconciling care and work - an impossibility?" - Speaker is Martin Moritz, school for relatives and counselling from Hamburg;
"Professional care - a future-oriented and socially secure field of employment" - Speaker is Dr Antje Weyh, Institute for Labour Market and Occupational Research Saxony from Chemnitz.
