Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025: Presentation of the concept for the "Garage Campus" intervention area

The conclusion of the concept phase for the Garage Campus of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 is imminent: On Thursday, 27 January from 5 to 7 pm, the concept will be presented to all initiators and those involved in the process in an online format.

Representatives of the project team, consisting of the City of Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 GmbH, Chemnitzer Verkehrs-AG (CVAG) and Age of Artists, will present the conceptual considerations and plans for the Garage Campus from different perspectives. The intention is to exchange views on the ideas presented and discuss how ideas can be successfully realised.
Background: Garage Campus
As part of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, the former CVAG depot on Zwickauer Straße in the Kappel district is being developed into a sustainable and central cultural location with urban, regional and European appeal - the so-called Garage Campus.
The conceptualisation process for the Garage Campus, coordinated by Age of Artists, has taken place over the past few months in consultation with the owner of the site, CVAG, and the city of Chemnitz, as well as with the participation of numerous users, stakeholders and citizens of the city of Chemnitz.
