BUMMI competition: Who are the sportiest
On 10 September, 9.15 am at the stadium on Gellertstraße - award ceremony at 12 noon
On Friday, 10 September, from 9.15 a.m., Lord Mayor Sven Schulze will welcome around 400 children to the BUMMI competition in the stadium on Gellertstraße. The City of Chemnitz has taken over the patronage.
In this competition for the city's sportiest preschoolers, children from Chemnitz daycare centres compete against each other at various sporting stations. They collect points in sprints, day-care centre jumps or target throwing, overcome obstacles or test their arm strength, for example.
Mayor Miko Runkel will hold the award ceremony at around 12 noon and, together with representatives of the city sports association, will present certificates and trophies to the 28 teams.
