Brückenstraße closed for several hours on Sunday
10th Fichtelberg Cycle Marathon starts in the city centre
On Sunday, 12 June, the 10th Fichtelberg Cycle Marathon will start in Chemnitz city centre. Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße/Mühlenstraße will therefore be closed to traffic between 6 a.m. and approx. 11 a.m. for the set-up and dismantling of the start area.
The diversion is possible via Brückenstraße - Straße der Nationen - Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Theaterstraße.
The sports event will start in individual groups of 50 riders and will be organised by the police. Participants will ride the route through the city in road traffic. This will be via Theaterstraße - Falkeplatz - Bahnhofstraße - Annaberger Straße - Gustav-Freytag-Straße - Reichenhainer Straße - Fraunhofer Straße - F.-O.-Schimmel-Straße - Thalheimer Straße - Saydaer Straße - Lengefelder Straße - Erfenschlager Straße - Einsiedler Hauptstraße - Einsiedler Neue Straße - Einsiedler Hauptstraße.
The Fichtelberg Cycle Marathon is organised by the Stadtsportbund Chemnitz e.V. and leads from Chemnitz to the Fichtelberg. Around 1000 participants are expected.
