Broken track at Falkeplatz requires closures
Construction work begins on Monday
From Monday, 22 May, there will be closures and rail replacement services in the Bahnhofstraße/Falkeplatz area. The reason for this is a broken tram track that needs to be repaired quickly.
Two lanes in the direction of Falkeplatz will have to be closed on Bahnhofstraße for the urgently needed construction work. One lane for left-turning traffic and one lane for straight-ahead traffic will remain open on Bahnhofstraße.
At Falkeplatz, a left-turn lane in the direction of Theaterstraße will also have to be closed.
The work is expected to last until 2 June. Rail traffic in the area will have to be suspended from 22 May until probably 27 May. The remaining construction work until 2 June will then take place with safety posts. CVAG will provide information on tram line 4 traffic separately.
Due to the accident, one lane on Bahnhofstraße has been closed since 25 April. CVAG has set up a slow-moving area for the tram.
