Broadband expansion in Haydnstraße has begun
Full closure required until 14 October
This week, work is taking place on the broadband expansion for the Valentina Tereschkowa primary school, among others. Chemnitz City Council decided in April to connect schools to the fibre optic network by autumn 2023 (see press release 232).
The work will require Haydnstraße between Stollberger Straße and Horststraße to be fully closed until Saturday, 14 October. The diversion will be via Stollberger Straße, Lützowstraße and Horststraße.
The construction work will take place during the holiday period in order to cause as little inconvenience as possible for residents and road users.
The broadband expansion in Haydnstraße for the Valentina Tereschkowa primary school will be carried out at the same time as the road and pipeline construction in Lortzingstraße between Mozartstraße and Goetheplatz in order to avoid any mutual construction disruptions. As a result, there will be increased traffic congestion in Horststraße this week.
The affected residents are asked for their understanding.
