British and Spanish participants in the EU project "ExChance-plus" visit Chemnitz Town Hall

British and Spanish participants in the EU project "ExChance-plus" are expected to attend a one-hour exchange of experiences at Chemnitz City Hall on Wednesday (23 October). The guests will be welcomed by Katja Kluge, an employee of the EU office in the city's mayor's office, and representatives of F+U Sachsen gGmbH.

The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. in consultation room 213 of the town hall (2nd floor) - representatives of the media are invited to attend.

The reason for the project participants' visit is the first transnational expert meeting organised by F+U Sachsen gGmbH on 22 and 23 October as part of the "ExChance-plus" project. The project is part of the German programme "Integration through Exchange" (IdA) and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the European Social Fund (ESF). By promoting transnational mobility, the aim is to make unemployed adults with a disability or other impairment that impedes access to the labour market aware of the opportunity to gain practical work experience and expand their professional skills in other EU countries. This also includes learning and consolidating foreign language skills.

During the two-day expert meeting, the results and successes of the project to date will be discussed with the European partners TellUS Group Ltd Work Experience UK from the UK and the ONECO training agency from Spain, and future cooperation will be discussed.

The EU Office of the City of Chemnitz is supporting the project as a strategic partner. Katja Kluge will present the city of Chemnitz and the city's EU work to the guests at the meeting on Wednesday in the town hall.
