On Sunday, 15 June, from 6 am to around 11 am, Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Theaterstraße/Mühlenstraße will be fully closed to traffic.
The reason for this is to set up and dismantle the start area for the Fichtelberg Cycle Marathon, which is organised by the Chemnitz City Sports Association. Around 1000 participants are expected.
The start will take place from 9 a.m. in individual groups of 50 riders each. The route leads through the city via: Brückenstraße - Theaterstraße - Bahnhofstraße - Annaberger Straße - Marienberger Straße - Einsiedler Straße - Erfenschlager Straße - Einsiedler Hauptstraße.
Road traffic on this route will be controlled by the police.
It is possible to bypass the traffic closure of Brückenstraße in this section via Straße der Nationen - Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Theaterstraße.
