Bridge repair on Neefestraße enters final construction phase
From Monday, 23 July, the final stage of the repair work on the Neefestraße bridge will be tackled. This will affect the area of Neefestraße heading out of town before the Neefepark access road. Depending on the weather conditions, the work should be completed by 17 August. This is the remaining work from the bridge repairs carried out last year.
During the construction work, the entire outbound carriageway will have to be closed and one lane will have to be shifted to the opposite carriageway, so that only one lane will be available in both directions.
On Tuesday, 24 July 2012, work will begin on milling the entire surface course of the outbound carriageway, including the Neefepark access road. The Neefepark access road will be fully closed from 8.00 p.m. until 4.00 a.m. the following day.
Another full closure of the Neefepark access road will be necessary for the construction of the new carriageway surface and for the road marking work. Specifically, the access road to Neefepark will be closed on a weekend from 8.00 pm on Friday until 4.00 am on Monday. During this time, the diversion will run via Neefestraße out of town, turn round at Ohr Jagdschänkenstraße and return via Neefestraße into town to Neefepark.
The exact date for this weekend has not yet been set, but will be approx. 1 to 2 weeks after the first date (probably from 03/08 to 06/08/2012 or 10/08 to 13/08/2012).
Once the carriageway has been completed, the adjustment work will be carried out on the left-hand lane of the landward carriageway in the area of the central crossing. There will only be a restriction to one lane (right-hand lane) of the landward carriageway, probably in the 33rd calendar week.
