Exotic birds as pets - a lecture with Eckhardt Frömel

In this practical lecture, interested animal lovers will gain a comprehensive insight into the keeping and care of ornamental birds. Starting with a brief overview of the domestication history of selected species, the lecture continues with the question of which bird species are suitable for beginners - and which ones are better left alone.
The speaker explains the requirements for keeping exotic birds in a species-appropriate manner, the life expectancy of different species and the minimum requirements for housing, feeding and care. Common diseases are also discussed and practical advice is given on what to do in the event of illness.
Another focus will be on the most important legal regulations relating to keeping birds. The lecture is rounded off with reports from over 50 years of successful bird keeping and breeding - professional, understandable and with many tips suitable for everyday use.
At the end, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and share your own experiences.
