Promoting insects, preserving diversity: iNUVERSUMM initiative in the Botanical Garden.

Opening and presentation of the newly created insect-friendly habitats.
In 2026, BUND and the Botanical Garden are working together with the active support of NaturGarten e. V. to create visualisations of insect-friendly gardens. Guided tour along the area; presentation of the measures already implemented and further ideas.

From the meadow to the medicine cabinet - on this herbal tour we reveal the green secrets of sage, yarrow & co. Let yourself be inspired, sniff, marvel and maybe even "heal" a little!

Distillation of plant waters - seminar
Location: Chemnitz Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147, NABU bungalow
Participation: 90 euros incl. material costs, registration at https://www.stonewood-kraeuter.de/seminare/
We will make plant waters using simple ingredients that can be found in every kitchen and also distil them using a copper still. We may also be able to extract some essential oil.
This can be used to make natural cosmetic products or for flavouring in the kitchen.
