Chemnitz City Library expands its digital offering
Chemnitz City Library is offering a wide digital selection of free travel guides for the holiday season, which can be used by anyone with a library card.
The digital library offers 29 travel guides from the renowned "Vis-à-Vis" series. These travel guides present the most beautiful attractions and sights in German and European cities and regions. They provide detailed information on cultural history and lifestyle. Individual neighbourhoods are presented with their highlights. With extensive expert knowledge, 3D outline drawings and atmospheric photos, travellers can get in the mood for their dream destination.
The travel guides also contain links to the current websites of various sights to make it easier to plan your trip. Detailed, clear and easy-to-read maps help readers to find their way around the destination and point out restaurants, hotels, shops and places of interest.
By expanding its digital offering, Chemnitz City Library wants to give all travellers the opportunity to take their travel guide with them wherever they go in a convenient and easily accessible way. This provides sources of information for travel planning and supports the discovery of new places.
Those who prefer analogue books can currently borrow numerous novels as well as travel and language guides from the central library at TIETZ, Moritzstraße 20.
