Book reading by the philosopher Peter Sloterdijk
Vision series at the adult education centre to mark its 100th anniversary
On Friday 8 March at 7 p.m., renowned philosopher Peter Sloterdijk will read from his new book "Neue Zeiten und Tage: Notes on the Present" in the foyer of the TIETZ. Admission is free. Due to high demand, it is necessary to reserve a seat in advance. Only a few tickets are still available for the event. The book reading opens the vision series on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the adult education centre.
Chemnitz Adult Education Centre celebrated its centenary on 9 February 2019. The adult education centre is celebrating this with an anniversary semester. A four-part series of special lectures and talks is planned from March to September 2019. The series is called "Visions" and focuses on the question: "What kind of society do we want to live in?".

- 6 May, 7 p.m.: Raúl Krauthausen talks about how people with disabilities are treated in our society in his lecture.
- 21 June, 7 p.m.: Petra Gerster, ZDF presenter, talks about education and upbringing.
- 13 September, 7 p.m.: Jörg Armbruster, former ARD correspondent, talks about current topics in the fields of politics and media.
