"The Sons of the Great Bear" is a series of Native American novels by Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich, which was particularly successful in the GDR and still has many fans today. In 1966, DEFA made the equally successful film "The Sons of the Great Bear" with Gojko Mitíc in the leading role as Chief Tokei-ihto under the same title as the series of novels. Gojko Mitíc talks about his time as DEFA's "Chief Indian". Dr Frank Elstner from Palisander Verlag will talk about the life of Liselotte Welskopf-Henrich. Michael Kraus will moderate.
