Book picnic with the city library's book bus
On Wednesday 4 and 11 July and Thursday 5 and 12 July, 3 to 7 p.m. each day
At the start of the summer holidays, the city library's book bus stops off in secluded meadows in residential areas of Chemnitz. Visitors can expect a colourful mix of games, fun, handicrafts, reading aloud, book casting and the city library's diverse media and online offerings. The programme includes authors Ulrike Leubner, Moro Rodefeld and Lothar Becker, the Kaleidoskop singing group and the Chemnitzer Lachfalten amateur dramatics group. The visit is free of charge.
To make it a real picnic, guests are invited to bring their own delicacies and drinks. (In case of bad weather, the event will unfortunately have to be cancelled).
