Book launch: Nazi terror and persecution in Saxony - from the early concentration camps to the death marches

Next Thursday, 3 May, from 7 to 9 p.m., a comprehensive work on terror and persecution under National Socialism in Saxony by the group of authors led by historian Dr Hans Brenner will be presented in the TIETZ event hall. Admission is free of charge.
At the beginning of 2018, the Saxon State Centre for Political Education published this book on terror and persecution under National Socialism in Saxony. The approximately 600-page publication is the first comprehensive account of the development of National Socialism in Saxony and its particularities and consequences. Based on the statements of previous specialist literature, new findings are described, particularly from the final phase of the Nazi era and on the formation and function of the satellite camps of the concentration camps. Among other things, a now almost completely researched system of the approx. 70 subcamps in Saxony will be illustrated with three coloured maps, as well as documents on the three large concentration camps and a map of the early and wild concentration camps in Saxony.
This event is a cooperation between the VVN-BdA Chemnitz, the civic initiative "Historischer Atlas Sachsen 1933 - 1945" as well as the Saxon State Centre for Political Education and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
