Bomb found near Sachsenallee - evacuation is being prepared
This morning, a 5-tonne bomb from the Second World War was found on the Deutsche Bahn site near Sachsenallee, August-Bebel-Straße 14. Emergency services from the city's police and public order office as well as the explosive ordnance disposal service are currently on site.
The bomb is to be defused at the site today. The evacuation radius is currently being determined. Further preparations are currently underway and the evacuation is expected to begin at 6 pm.
