Bird and nature conservation in the garden
Lecture by the Environmental Agency on 12 December, 6.45 pm at the adult education centre
On Tuesday, 12 December at 6.45 pm, the Environmental Agency and the Adult Education Centre invite you to a lecture on "Bird and nature conservation in the garden - about nesting aids, flower meadows and rhinoceros beetles" in the TIETZ, course room 4.07. The event is free of charge. Participation in the event is free of charge.
Near-natural gardens provide a habitat for native birds, insects and small mammals thanks to their diversity. You can increase the diversity of species in your garden and also create new habitats for rare animals in a small area. Using examples and practical tips, Jens Börner, Head of Department at the Chemnitz Lower Nature Conservation Authority and ornithologist, gives suggestions for more nature in the garden and how you can do something yourself to preserve biodiversity. The talk will be supported by many photos of plants and animals, which you may then be able to discover in your own garden.
You can register at the adult education centre (course number: W1714191) by calling 0371 488 3643 or online at www.vhs-chemnitz.de.
