Big mountain parade on 26 November 2016
Traffic restrictions necessary, car parks closed
There will be traffic restrictions in the city centre during the Great Mountain Parade on 26 November 2016 from 1.30 pm to 4 pm.
The parade starts on Theaterplatz, runs along Karl-Liebknecht-Straße to the right into Richard-Tauber-Straße, continues to the right along the city'sright into Brückenstraße as far as Theaterstraße, back along Brückenstraße to the forecourt of the Stadthalle.
The entire parade route will be operationally closed by the police enforcement service of the Chemnitz Police Headquarters and will also be reopened. For safety reasons, all car parks along the route of the procession must be closed from 9 am.
The parade route can be bypassed via Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Theaterstraße or via Bahnhofstraße - Carolastraße. Visitors to the event and the city centre should use public transport.
