Big mountain parade on 2 December
Traffic restrictions necessary - car parks closed
During the Great Mountain Parade on
2 December, there will be traffic restrictions in the city centre from 1.30 pm to 4 pm.
The parade starts on Theaterplatz, runs along Karl-Liebknecht-Straße to the right into Richard-Tauber-Straße, then right along the city lane of Straße der Nationen, right into Brückenstraße to Theaterstraße, back along Brückenstraße to Theaterstraße.right into Brückenstraße as far as Theaterstraße, back along Brückenstraße to the forecourt of the Stadthalle.
The entire parade route will be operationally closed by the Chemnitz police and will also be reopened. For safety reasons, all car parks along the route of the procession must be closed from 9am.
The parade route can be bypassed via Georgstraße - Mühlenstraße - Theaterstraße or via Bahnhofstraße - Carolastraße. Visitors to the event and the city centre should use public transport.
