Bicycle storage boxes go into operation

On Friday, 1 December at 12.30 pm, the City of Chemnitz's new bicycle parking boxes will be officially put into operation. Martin Reinhold, Head of the Traffic and Civil Engineering Department of the City of Chemnitz, and Alexander Kirste, Head of the Traffic Planning Department at the Traffic and Civil Engineering Department, will present the utilisation and the concept at the location on the corner of Straße der Nationen and Brückenstraße.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
In addition to the Straße der Nationen location, the new bicycle garages on the station forecourt and in front of the Chemnitz University of Technology lecture centre on Reichenhainer Straße will also be available for use from this day. A total of up to 72 secure and weather-protected bicycle parking spaces will then be available in the city centre.
