Traffic restrictions in the city centre
Today, the "B.U.M. Tour 2020 - Chemnitz Bicycle Concert - For more bicycle culture in Chemnitz" organised by Freundeskreis Chemnitz 2025 e. V. will take place, including a bicycle demo.
This will result in the following traffic restrictions in the city centre from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m:
- Closure of Brückenstraße between Straße der Nationen and Mühlenstraße (only in the direction of Mühlenstraße)
- Closure of Straße der Nationen towards the city centre from Carolastraße (residents free until the construction site)
From 6 p.m. , stopping restrictions apply along Brückenstraße, including the roundabout (only on the Monument side)
The police may close Brückenstraße operationally from 3.00 pm onwards . The march route will also be operationally secured by the police.
Route of the bicycle demonstration:
Brückenstraße - Mühlenstraße - Georgstraße - Bahnhofstraße - Waisenstraße - Dresdner Straße - Gießerstraße - Hainstraße - Peterstraße - Uhlandstraße - Lessingplatz - Markusstraße - Theodor-Körner-Platz/Körnerstraße - Platz vor Markuskirche: Intermediate rally - Martinstraße - Sonnenstraße - Zietenstraße - Clausstraße - Bernhardstraße - Jahnstraße - Fichtestraße -Gutenbergstraße - Bernsdorfer Straße - Wartburgstraße - Reichenhainer Straße -Mensavorplatz/Platz in front of the "Club der Kulturen": Intermediate rally - Reichenhainer Straße - Lutherstraße - Bernsdorfer Straße - Reitbahnstraße - Bahnhofstraße - Theaterstraße - An der Markthalle - Hartmannstraße - Theaterstraße - Brückenstraße (at the Karl Marx Monument): Final rally
