Bernsdorf swimming complex goes into trial operation

From Monday, 5 August, the indoor swimming pool in the Bernsdorf swimming complex will be open on a trial basis with special opening hours as follows:
25-metre hall (for swimmers) and leisure hall with diving platform, teaching pool and paddling pool | |

Thursdays | 6.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. |
Friday | 2 pm to 8 pm |
Saturday | 10 am to 5 pm |

From 2 September, the swimming pool will have the following regular opening hours:

Please note:
Outside opening hours, the swimming pool is used by schools and clubs.
Opening ceremony
The swimming complex will be officially opened with a swimming festival for all Chemnitz residents on 20 September 2024 (World Children's Day). Separate information will be provided on this.
Operating times of the indoor pools from 2 September 2024
With the opening of the indoor swimming pool in the Bernsdorf swimming complex, the opening and operating times of all Chemnitz indoor pools will be adjusted to optimally meet demand.
This is intended to meet the needs of various user groups (primarily school and club use) as well as public pool operations.
The pool allocation for school and club use was reorganised in consultation with club representatives, the Chemnitz School Swimming Centre and the State Office for Schools and Education.
Pool operation on public holidays
The municipal swimming pool and Bernsdorf indoor swimming pool are open to the public on public holidays such as Good Friday to Easter Monday, the Whitsun weekend (Saturday to Monday) and New Year's Eve. All pools are closed on Christmas Eve.
