Bernd Maischack: Works 1982 to 2017

Exhibition opening, 8 November, 6 pm, at the adult education centre

The exhibition of works by Bernd Maischack, Chemnitz artist and long-time lecturer at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, will open on Thursday, 8 November at 6 pm. The exhibition shows around 70 works created over the last 25 years and will be on display in the gallery of the adult education centre until 8 January 2019, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm. Admission is free.

Bernd Maischack, born in 1948, was a qualified teacher of art education and history at various schools in Chemnitz, most recently at Johannes-Kepler-Gymnasium and, after his professional career, on a freelance basis at Stöckhardt-Gymnasium until 2017. His passion for teaching art also characterises his work at the adult education centre. He has been a course leader here for nine years now, without interruption and with a regular clientele that he has built up through his competent and always humane way of dealing with people and artistic observation. Especially after his active teaching career, he also created a wide variety of artworks himself, mainly in the fields of painting and graphic art. The exhibition shows the corresponding range with a focus on the years 2014 to 2017.
