Bergstrasse construction project approved
At its meeting today, Chemnitz City Council approved the coordinated Bergstraße construction project between Ludwigstraße and Schloßteichstraße.
The road surfaces and areas of the pavements in Bergstraße will be renewed, while the sewerage system will be renovated by the ESC at the same time.
The costs for the road construction amount to around 482,000 euros and will be financed from the City of Chemnitz's own funds.
The work is scheduled to begin in March 2023 and continue until December 2023.
The Bergstraße will be fully closed in sections for the work. Traffic will be diverted via Leipziger Straße, Hartmannstraße and Bergstraße.
