Being a parent with a disability
Event of the adult education centre on 28 March, 5 p.m., TIETZ
At an event at the adult education centre on Thursday, 28 March from 5 to 6.30 p.m., an overview of suitable services and advice for parents with disabilities will be given. There will also be an opportunity for those affected and their relatives to exchange experiences. Please note the VHS room announcement. Participation is free of charge.
The speaker will be Kathrin Günther, who works as an inclusion counsellor for a counselling centre for supplementary independent participation counselling (EUTB). This is aimed at all people with disabilities as well as people at risk of disability and their relatives.
To date, little attention has been paid in Saxony to the special situation and challenges faced by people with disabilities who are parents themselves. They encounter various difficulties in everyday family life. The event could be turned into a sustainable form of support, e.g. as an interest group for Chemnitz and the surrounding area.
This event is a cooperation between Inklusionsberater Sachsen / Beratungsstelle der ergänzenden unabhängigen Teilhabeberatung (EUTB) and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
