"Beethoven - God, what darkness here!"
Musical reading with Manuela Miebach on 14 December, 5.30 pm at TIETZ
On Saturday, 14 December at 5.30 pm, theatre author, cultural journalist and music critic Manuela Miebach will be a guest at the Tietz City Library. The author has embarked on a search for clues in Beethoven's past and presents various "aspects between speculation and truth". In doing so, she opens up new perspectives on Beethoven research. Musical accompaniment by Carla Budig on the cello and the opening of a media exhibition on Beethoven's life and work will round off the reading. Admission is free.
Under the motto "Beethoven with us", many events dedicated to the famous composer will take place across Germany on 14 and 15 December 2019. The events mark the start of the Beethoven Year 2020, which was proclaimed to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth.
