Baumwollbaum am Brühl: a cabaret market and colourful programme on the boulevard at Christmas time
On Saturday from 10 am, the Baumwollbaum am Brühl invites you to the Christmas season. Baumwollbaum is the somewhat different Christmas market for young and self-made designers, mini-brands, artists and craftspeople. Everyone, whether private individuals, professional creatives or artists, has the opportunity to offer their large and small works for sale to an interested public in a festive atmosphere. Creative people who want to take part simply turn up.
In addition to plenty of creative minds and Christmas treats, exhibitors and visitors are offered a wide range of entertainment. There will be music to get you in the mood for the festive season - with a programme from 3 pm with the Volkssolidarität choir (Christmas programme of classical and modern pieces), the Chemnitz Connection (beatbox and didgeridoo) and Andreas Bochmann (classic rock). There will also be readings for children and adults in the Brühl office. A cabaret tombola, Father Christmas himself and a fire show round off the programme until the evening.
The guerrilla knitting crew, which has gained fame since the Kultursommer, will be taking part in the programme and will be coming up with a very special surprise for the opening of the first Chemnitz Baumwollbaum.
