On Friday, 6 March at 6 p.m., the FUER CHEMNITZ e. V. civic association and the City of Chemnitz Migration Commissioner, Etelka Kobuß, will present the Chemnitz Peace Prize 2026 at a ceremony in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall. The event is open to the public.
Representatives of the media are also invited.
Pupils from the Municipal Music School will provide musical accompaniment to the event. The award ceremony will be followed by a reception.
Every year, the Chemnitz Peace Prize honours people, initiatives and projects that contribute to non-violent coexistence in the city, ensure a peaceful Chemnitz and promote the coexistence of different cultures.
