Award of honorary citizenship of the City of Chemnitz and ceremonial farewell to Dr phil. h.c. Ingrid Mössinger

Ceremony on Friday, 20 April 2018, 3 p.m. in the Chemnitz Opera House - museum festival in the art collections from 6 p.m. - accreditation for media until 12 April

On Friday, 20 April 2018 at 3 pm, the City of Chemnitz will award honorary citizenship to the General Director of the Chemnitz Art Collections, Dr. phil. h.c. Ingrid Mössinger, in recognition of her work and services to the city of Chemnitz.

The city's highest honour will be awarded at a ceremony in the Chemnitz Opera House by Lord Mayor Barbara Ludwig in the presence of Minister President Michael Kretschmer. Former Federal Minister of the Interior Dr Thomas de Maizière will give the speech.

Ingrid Mössinger will be entered in the City of Chemnitz's Golden Book when she is made an honorary citizen. Following the ceremony, the museum festival in the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz will begin at 6 pm.

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend the ceremony and the museum festival.

  • Concert: Albrecht Mayer, oboe, solo oboist with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Hinrich Alpers, grand piano
