Award ceremony in the "Kita & Künstler:in" competition
JOUR FIXE Cultural Education on 17 January from 3 to 5 p.m. via video conference
On Monday, 17 January, from 3 to 5 p.m., representatives of educational institutions and cultural stakeholders from all sectors will meet at the Kulturraum Chemnitz for the Jour Fixe Kulturelle Bildung. The winners of the "Kita & Künstler:in" competition will be announced. The event will take place as a ZOOM meeting, i.e. via online connection. Media representatives are cordially invited.
With the "Kita & Künstler:in" project, the City of Chemnitz promotes creative educational programmes in daycare centres every year. The winners receive prizes of up to 2,000 euros. The aim is to give children access to artistic education and co-creation. They are not only taught knowledge, but should and can also become creative themselves.
The web conference begins with a welcome from the coordinator of the Cultural Education Contact Centre, Birgit Rehme-Iffert. Before the creative teams present their projects, Sylvia Lange-Rathaj, Head Specialist Advisor in the City of Chemnitz's Child Day Care Centre Department, will explain the criteria for the awards. Finally, Katrin Franz, Head of Cultural Management and Cultural Strategy at the City of Chemnitz, will select the winners virtually. Afterwards, the participants will discuss the current situation in education and culture.
