Award ceremony for the 2018 Environmental Prize for Children and Young People

The 2018 Environmental Award for Children and Young People will be presented next Tuesday, 12 June at 2 pm in Fire Station I, Schadestraße 11.

Every year, the City of Chemnitz, with the support of its partners eins energie in sachsen GmbH and Südsachsen Wasser GmbH, honours the best ideas and projects by children and young people for active and sustainable environmental protection and successful environmental education with the Chemnitz Environmental Award . Projects are honoured that require an intensive examination of environmental protection and active action and are designed to be sustainable.
This year's winners of the Chemnitz spring clean-up will also be honoured in this context. The almost 50 campaigns with more than 2,600 participants were scrutinised by a jury of experts from the ASR, the city administration and the CWE. Three prizes were awarded. The winner receives the "Golden Broom".
