Autumn holidays at the zoo and wildlife park
Short guided tours, show feedings and evening tours
During the autumn holidays, a visit to Chemnitz Zoo and Oberrabenstein Wildlife Park is particularly worthwhile. Autumn is slowly arriving in the park and forest, creating a colourful display. And there are still one or two young animals to discover in the enclosures. There will also be exciting activities in the zoo and wildlife enclosures.
From Saturday, 4 October, Chemnitz Zoo will once again be organising exciting short tours for young and old every day at 11 am . The big cats will kick things off.
On Sunday, 5 October, the giant salamander is on the programme. The other guided tours can be requested at the ticket office or viewed at www.tierpark-chemnitz.de.
In the Oberrabenstein wildlife enclosure, the popular show feedings will take place daily at 11 a.m., including the badgers for the first time on Monday and Saturday.
On Tuesday and Friday the mouflons are fed, on Wednesday the bison and on Thursday and Sunday the wildcats.
The popular evening tours of Chemnitz Zoo will also be offered again. What do the animals in the zoo actually do in the evening or at night? Who goes to sleep and who only really wakes up in the evening? These and other questions will be explored.
In the first week of the holiday there will be an evening tour on Thursday, 10 October. In the second holiday week, the dates are Tuesday, 15 October and Thursday, 17 October. The tour starts at 5.15 pm and lasts approx. 90 minutes.
Participation in the tour costs 10 euros per person and the number of participants is limited.
The evening tours are suitable for children aged 12 and over, but the offer is of course also aimed at adults.
