Autumn and harvest festival in the botanical garden
on 19 and 20 September 2015, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day
You can't miss it, the days are getting shorter, the time of summer temperatures is over and the first leaves are beginning to fall. Nature has filled its pockets with mushrooms, fruit and bright colours.
In the Chemnitz Botanical Garden, Leipziger Str. 147, the clubs and associations working here are preparing the traditional autumn and harvest festival. As every year, this event will be the largest presentation of their work and will attract many visitors.
The associations have once again put together a rich programme for their guests.
In all the rooms, a tent city in the outdoor area and on the meadows, they will be inviting visitors on
19 and 20 September 2015 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the following activities:
Mushroom exhibition with advice, fruit variety show and identification of apples (min. 3 pieces are required), waffle baking, handicrafts with natural materials, magician Kalu, wheel of fortune with five valuable main prizes, song singer Tom Haus, information stand and apple juice from NABU, herbalherbal vinegar production, beekeeping, home-made jam, snacks with trout smoking, nature theatre with the Dittmannsdorf amateur dramatics group, plant bazaar and much more.
There is a charge of 5 euros per person. Visitors entitled to a discount (schoolchildren, apprentices, students, severely disabled persons, Chemnitz Pass holders, civil and military service personnel, etc.) pay 3 euros. Children up to 6 years have free admission

In recent years, the Chemnitz Botanical Garden has increasingly become a magnet for the citizens of Chemnitz and the surrounding area. With well over
60,000 visitors a year, it has become an important element of our city's culture and an integral part of many families' excursion programmes.
The Autumn and Harvest Festival is the most important event in the Botanic Garden's annual programme, which all the clubs and associations working here look forward to and prepare for in order to present themselves and their work.
