Autumn and harvest festival in the botanical garden

On 18 and 19 September, 10 am to 6 pm, Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147

This coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 18 and 18 September, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the clubs and associations working in the Botanic Garden invite you to the traditional Autumn and Harvest Festival. As every year, the event will be the largest presentation of their work.

Admission costs 5 euros per person, reduced 3 euros, family ticket 10 euros. Groups of six or more people receive reduced admission. (The current regulations of the Corona Protection Ordinance apply)

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to inform themselves about the status of preparations on Friday, 17 September.

The associations have put together an extremely varied programme for visitors. A tent city has been set up in the outdoor area and on the meadows. Activities are planned in some of the rooms. As every year, the main attractions of the festival will be the mushroom exhibition and fruit variety show. Chemnitz beekeepers, nature conservation organisations and associations working in the botanical garden will be on hand to provide advice and to sell beautiful and useful items. Craft activities, tea mixing, a plant exchange, a children's slide and opportunities for fun and games (puppeteers, jugglers) round off the programme. Tom Haus will provide musical entertainment for the festival. The Chemnitz line dance group will be performing live at 2 pm on both days. Various snack offers ensure that there is something for every taste.
