Author reads from her Chemnitz fairy tale
Reading at the Kraftwerk on Wednesday, 9 March, 3 p.m.
On Wednesday, 9 March at 3 pm, Veronika Ahnert will read from her fairy tale "Benno und der Hüter des Rätsels" in the large hall of the Kraftwerk e.V. socio-cultural centre at Kaßbergstraße 36. This fairy tale was published last year with two other award-winning stories in the first volume of the Chemnitz Fairy Tale Book by the city of Chemnitz via the publishing house edition claus. Admission to the reading costs 5 euros.
Last year, the city of Chemnitz organised the writing competition "Dein Chemnitz. Your fairy tale" for the first time last year. From around 70 entries, the jury selected the fairy tale "Benno und der Hüter des Rätsels" by Veronika Ahnert in first place. The first Chemnitz fairy tale book was finally published in December.
Veronika Ahnert will read her winning fairy tale in public for the first time on this day. She will take the audience on an exciting and adventurous journey across the city to find the solution to a riddle together with Benno, allowing them to see familiar places in Chemnitz in a completely new light.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk to the author and have books signed.
