Athletes sign the city's Golden Book
Honoured during the "Gymmotion" event at the Chemnitz Exhibition Centre
On Saturday, 7 December at 5 p.m., the medal winners of this year's World and European Championships will sign the city's Golden Book in the presence of Mayor Ralph Burghart. The ceremony will take place during the "Gymmotion" event at the Chemnitz Exhibition Centre.
Also present: the winner of the bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in Doha, Christina Schwanitz, and the winner of the silver medal at the European Athletics Team Championships in Bydgoszcz, Kristin Gierisch. Marvin Schlegel will also be honoured for his performance at the European Athletics Team Championships in Bydgoszcz, where he won the silver medal with the German 4x400m relay team.
As European champions at this year's European Goalball Championships in Rostock, Oliver Hörauf and Felix Rogge from Chemnitzer BC are also among those honoured who will sign the city's Golden Book on Saturday.
