Assistance from the city library available on site again

Support for specialist work, homework and the use of various media technology possible again in presence from 3 March

Following the coronavirus-related contact restrictions, the city library can now offer its popular free support services for school pupils, migrants and senior citizens in person again.

From Thursday, 3 March, the subject consultation hours for pupils, the homework tables for DaZ course participants, the e-book consultation hours and introductory courses on using the media lab and audio studio will once again take place regularly in the rooms of the Central Library.

Refugees welcome in the library!

Tuesdays, 1 to 3 pm

Location: TIETZ, Central Library, Culture & Countries section

Learning mentors help with learning German and with homework for the DaZ and DaF courses (German as a second / German as a foreign language).

Participation is free of charge.

Specialised work consultation hour for students

Tuesdays, 3 to 6 pm

Location: TIETZ, Central Library, Science & Technology section

We help with research in library catalogues and online databases and offer free self-help for effective research.
Registration is required, stating the topic of the research paper, by phone: 0371 488-4222, by e-mail: facharbeit(at)stadtbibliothek-chemnitz.de or in person at the library.

Participation is free of charge.
