Architecture students from Manchester present ideas
Press invitation: Presentation of the project on 26 January, 12.30 pm, Garage Campus, Zwickauer Straße 164
On Thursday, 26 January, from 12.30 to 13.30, students from the Manchester School of Architecture will present their urban planning project for the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 at the Garagen-Campus, Zwickauer Straße 164.
Media representatives are cordially invited to attend.
Around 30 students and five teachers from the Manchester School of Architecture have been visiting Chemnitz since Monday evening. At the invitation of the City of Chemnitz, they are investigating the Garagen-Campus intervention area and the creative axis for new methods of urban planning from a creative perspective, as taught in Manchester.
During their stay, which ends tomorrow, Thursday, they will explore the city from this perspective and develop ideas, the interim results of which they will present tomorrow.
Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk to the guests from Manchester. The local contact person is Ulf Kallscheidt from the City of Chemnitz's Capital of Culture department.
After their return to Manchester, the students will finalise the project. The plan is to present the results in autumn, either digitally or back here on site.
