Architecture Prize - Award ceremony
Press invitation: Thursday, 8 November, 6 pm, Theatre Club
On Thursday, 8 November at 6 pm (admission from 5.30 pm), the award ceremony for this year's architecture prize will take place in the theatre club in the Schauspielhaus, Zieschestraße 28. Building Mayor Michael Stötzer will present the winners with certificates and plaques. All submitted works will be exhibited on the evening.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
The City of Chemnitz has awarded the City of Chemnitz Architecture Prize for the first time this year. On 24 and 25 September, the jury selected three equal prize winners from the 23 entries. In addition, two commendations were awarded.
The background
The City of Chemnitz awards the prize for outstanding achievements in architecture, open space and urban planning that have a lasting impact on the cityscape. In order to be able to honour the relevant projects, the city awards the architecture prize every three years. Buildings completed in the city of Chemnitz between 2013 and 2018 were eligible. Private and public clients and architects/designers were eligible to participate.
