On Friday, 1 September at 10 a.m., the new trainees and students of the City of Chemnitz will be officially welcomed with a festive event at the LUXOR Chemnitz Congress and Event Centre. Apprenticeships from 2024

Anyone interested in vocational training or studying for 2024 can find information at www.chemnitz.de/Ausbildung

The City of Chemnitz is also offering two new vocational training programmes (apprenticeships/studies) for the new training year from 2024:

The City of Chemnitz will also be training nursery nurses again next year. Training will start on 4 August 2024 and applications will also be accepted until 30 November 2023. All information under: Training as a nursery school teacher (m/f/d)

The range of professions for which training can be started is based on demand and can therefore vary from year to year. Demand-orientated training is used to cover our own requirements for junior staff and to increase the chances of trainees being offered permanent positions. In the administrative professions in particular, not only the demand but also the chances of being taken on are very high, as many employees will be leaving the municipal administration in the coming years due to age, meaning that more than 1,200 employees will be retiring by 2028.
