Appreciation for foster and adoptive families

On Saturday, 25 November, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Foster Children's Service of the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Chemnitz invites foster and adoptive families to a thank-you afternoon at the Boulderlounge Chemnitz, Altchemnitzer Straße 27 (navigation address: Altchemnitzer Straße 5).
The foster children's service would like to show its appreciation to foster and adoptive families for their valuable commitment and spend some quality time with them. In time slots of one hour each, you can climb under supervision, and there will be a small catering and drinks.
Representatives of the media are also cordially invited.
The thank-you afternoon is intended to bridge the waiting time until the next Foster and Adoptive Families Day, which is organised every two years by the Foster Children's Service together with the Caritas Association for Chemnitz and the surrounding area and will next take place in 2024.
Foster mothers and fathers for children aged 0 to 14 are urgently needed. In addition to the Foster Children's Service at the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Chemnitz, the Caritas Association for Chemnitz and the surrounding area and the "Indira Gandhi" Circle of Friends are responsible for finding and placing foster mothers and fathers, advising interested parties on the subject of foster children and looking after the circle of active foster parents.
The thank-you afternoon is supported by Boulderlounge Chemnitz GmbH and the IKEA furniture store in Chemnitz, which is sponsoring a surprise for the families.
