Due to the continuing above-average volume of applications at the City of Chemnitz Social Welfare Office, some adjustments to the processes are necessary. These changes, which are effective immediately, are aimed at enabling citizens' concerns to be processed as quickly as possible.
Specifically, for the time being, consultations at the Social Welfare Office are only possible by prior appointment. Applications and documents can be submitted as usual by e-mail or post. It is also possible to use the letterboxes in the reception area of the Moritzhof, Bahnhofstraße 53.
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, the staff at the social welfare office are available at the following times: Tuesdays from 9 am to 12 noon and Thursdays from 9 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
To ensure that citizens' requests can be processed as quickly as possible, please refrain from enquiring about the processing status.
